The following conditions can make conventional contact lens fitting more challenging:

  • Irregular or scarred cornea
  • Keratoconus
  • Pellucid Marginal Degeneration
  • Dry Eyes
  • Post-refractive surgery (such as LASIK)
  • Post corneal transplant
  • High Astigmatism
  • High Refractive Error

At Millennium Eye Care, we offer a wide variety of lens options for even our “hard-to-fit” patients with these conditions. In some cases contact lenses can provide better visual outcomes than glasses alone and may even be considered medically necessary. Call our office to book an appointment with one of our experienced contact lens specialists today.

    Technology for Diagnosing Corneal Disease

    ATLAS Corneal Topography System
Corneal topography is a non-contact imaging system for mapping out the corneal surface. Utilizing precise measurements, a color topographical map detailing the exact curvature and shape of the cornea is created. This allows your doctor to properly diagnose corneal disease and prescribe the most appropriate type of contact lens for you.
